Counselor Training Workshop

Life Counseling Ministries has developed a nine-day workshop to help train pastors and lay counselors to be more effective in helping people with needs. Along with Biblical counseling principles, considerable time is given to practical training. This is done through group work, processing the specific skills taught, supervised counseling, and role playing.

This workshop is the first phase of the Ten-Course Certificate Program.  Students may take the workshop who do not plan to complete the certificate program.  View Brochure.

We are committed to work alongside pastors in their respective congregations in training individuals to do counseling. If you are a lay member and plan to participate, we request a signed note from your pastor that supports your attendance.

The first session beginning in November of each year will begin at a basic foundational level: how to listen, how to be more sensitive and how to communicate care. The next two workshops in January and March will continue to build on the first one. If you begin the workshop in November, we ask you to commit to taking the following ones also.
