Purpose
Life Counseling Ministries is a nonprofit Christian ministry founded in 1987. Our purpose is to provide a safe place where anyone facing distressing situations in life can find hope and move toward wholeness in Christ.
Core Values
Our purpose is anchored by five core values. These values are non-negotiable principles and convictions that guide our counsel and decisions.
- Truth: Love for the Word of God is central to our life and counsel.
- Reverence: Reliance upon the Holy Spirit empowers discernment and intimacy with God.
- Honor: Honoring the image of God in another promotes one’s true identity in Christ.
- Humility: Affirming the worth of others with confidence, gentleness, and compassion opens the way for healing and hope.
- Integrity: Maintaining integrity through confidentiality and healthy boundaries preserves client and counselor safety.

Statement of Faith
- We believe in one God eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that God has revealed Himself in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, the inspired word of God in its entirety and supremely in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- We believe that in the beginning God created all things by His Son. He made man in His divine image, with free will moral character, and a spiritual nature.
- We believe that man fell into sin, bringing depravity and death upon the race; that as a sinner, man is self-centered and self-willed, unwilling and unable to break with sin.
- We believe that there is one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who died to redeem us from sin, whom God raised from the dead for our justification.
- We believe that at death the unsaved enter into everlasting punishment and the saved into conscious bliss with Christ. We believe that Christ is coming again and will raise the dead, sit in judgment, and bring in God’s everlasting kingdom.
Life Counseling Ministries was incorporated in 1987 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is funded by individuals, churches, and businesses. An accountant audits financial records every year and financial statements are available upon request. A local, seven-member Executive Board of Directors meets monthly and governs Life Counseling Ministries. A nationwide 15-member Consulting Board meets annually and elects the Executive Board of Directors.
