Lonita grew up the fifth of seven on a farm in Lebanon, PA. With dreams of becoming a medical missionary, she pursued a nursing degree and graduated as an RN in 2011. Instead of serving on the mission field, she found herself working in elder care and assisting a midwife for the next several years. During those years of “waiting,” she was drawn to working with people on emotional and spiritual healing journeys.
In 2014, Lonita began the 10-course program at LCM and felt the Lord leading her to pursue further education in counseling. In 2022, she graduated from Cairn University with a master’s degree in counseling. She joined the team at LCM in the summer of 2022 and is grateful to serve the Anabaptist community in this way.
In her spare time, Lonita enjoys spending time with friends, reading, and taking leisurely bike rides.
